Website 1: https://www.icivics.org

This website I found is very cool and helpful. It could be used for a middle school social studies class. It provides several games for students to learn about the Constitution, other countries, the process of the Supreme Court, etc. The countries game says that it was updated in 2017 to include all countries, therefore you know that it is current. It is relevant because if you are teaching a social studies class; this website is all about the material. I trust the credibility of the website because it ends in .org which means it is official, educational, and sponsored by the government. I think the website is very accurate. I learned some things that I didn't know before and the information that I did know it was right. The purpose of the website is the teach students about our government while having them play games.

Website 2: https://www.youtube.com/user/crashcourse/search?query=social+studies

This link leads to John Green's YouTube page called Crash Course. I found out about this while I was in school. I used it in all my AP History courses and I still use it in my college history courses. He has a 10 minute videos about every event in world history, US history, government. He even started a spin off with his brother who does psychology and english topics. The world history videos are slightly older, about 5 years, but he has other videos on topics from just a few months ago. The 5 year old videos are still current. They are relevant because they are about our history and that is exactly what I might teach. John Green has established his credibility/authority. He is a best-selling author, he has over 7 million subscriptions, and his videos have been used by teachers for years. When it comes to accuracy, it is hard to not be accurate. You can't make it up; however, John Green has a degree in history so you know he's giving accurate information. The teacher's lectures and your textbook should back up the information. The purpose of his videos is to give you quick and easy information about historical events.
