I would say that my prior experiences using technology is limited. I have had a smartphone and laptop for many years, so I know the basics. Because of school assignments, I also know how to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and a little bit of Excel. During Fall semester of my freshmen year, I took Programming I. Therefore, I know a little bit about coding; however, I did not enjoy the class and did not do very well. Hence, why I am now an Elementary Education major instead of a STEM major.

In this class, I am hoping to learning information that will help me be a better teacher. Based off of the syllabus, I am expecting my knowledge about the Microsoft products to expand, especially my limited Excel knowledge. Hopefully, we will also learn about programs and technological resources that are more strictly geared towards teachers and education.

  2. Ashleigh, I can also say that my technology background is limited. It seems like we've used the same programs and are both looking forward to expanding our knowledge with programs towards teaching

  3. Hey! There is nothing embarrassing to be in the education major instead of STEM. As teachers, we can leverage the advantages of the tools and teach students STEM knowledge!
