I think I am prepared to teach all of the ELA Tech Standards. On paper, they all seem pretty self-explanatory; however, I think in practicality it is probably more complex. For an example, I know how to create charts and tables and I know how to read and analyze them, but depending on the difficulty of the topic that they are referring to will determine how difficult it is to understand and teach. Obviously the higher the grade level is the harder it gets. Since I am waiting to hear which program I get into, which will determine which grade level range I teach which will determine the specifics of the standards.

I am not sure which technological applications and software I want to use to teach. I don't know of any yet. I am sure that I will learn more once I get into my major-specific classes. All of the points mentioned in the textbook about digital citizenship should be addressed in the classroom. I think some of them don't need to be addressed in a core class, maybe in a computer class elective. Also, I think digital citizenship refers towards middle schoolers, high schoolers, and adults, so if I were to teach elementary school, this chapter wouldn't relate to me.

Through this Newsletter Design Assignment, I learned how to hyperlink a word document. Prior to this assignment, I didn't know hoe to do that. I liked that this assignment was practical. I know that I will need to write hundreds (probably thousands) of newsletters throughout my teaching career, so this was a nice start.
